Casa-Havana tells the story of three siblings and their
mother, set against the backdrop of Cuba in 2025. It’s a life filled with joy,
yet overshadowed by the struggle to survive in a country steeped in poverty,
neglect, and the ever-present longing to emigrate. Within this Cuban household,
we witness the bonds of family love, romantic relationships, and the dynamics
between young people full of dreams—intertwined with disillusionment and
despair. At the heart of it all is a mother tormented by fear of government repression,
afraid her children might be punished for voicing their ideas. And looming over
the story is the painful departure of a son who chooses to leave.
