Assassins
April 10-19, 2026
A journey through the dark side of the American dream,
Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Tony-winning musical Assassins
explores the lives of nine men and women who either killed (or tried to kill)
one of the Presidents of the United States. From John Wilkes Booth to Lee
Harvey Oswald and beyond, the stories of our country’s most successful and
would-be assassins intersect in unexpected ways, creating a powerful, unnerving
look at some of the most shocking moments in US history.
“This is a musical with a deep, warning sense of
something frighteningly wrong in the fabric of the United States — a nation
where, as the song goes, “Something just broke.”
–The New York Times
CONTENT WARNING: This production contains mature
themes, including depictions of violence, simulated gun use and gunshots, a
racial slur, and references to real-life events. The musical explores complex
and potentially sensitive topics such as mental illness, racism, political
extremism, and the motivations behind acts of violence. All guns
used during this performance are replicas that have been provided, checked, and
rendered inoperable by a weapons specialist for the safety of our artists and
audiences. All gunshot sound effects are created artificially.
