Footloose

One of the most explosive and popular contemporary movies (starring Kevin Bacon) bursts onto the live stage in Footloose. When Ren and his mom relocate from Chicago to a small rural town, he is not prepared for the rigorous local laws.Years ago, following a night of partying at a dance, a car accident claimed the lives of four local teens. In a misguided attempt to honor the victims, the reverend pushed through an ordinance banning dancing. Ren challenges authority by trying to hold a dance in a musical that features such hits as “Holding Out for a Hero,” “Let’s Hear it for the Boy,” and “Footloose.”
