About the Show
Our grade 8-11 actors are performing in Newsies Jr, a musical based on the real-life Newsboy Strike of 1899. The story follows Jack Kelly, a rebellious newsboy who dreams of a life as an artist away from the big city. When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys' expense, Kelly and his fellow newsies take action and create a movement to fight for what's right.
