About the Show

The first of the Neil Simon Brighton Beach Trilogy, Brighton Beach Memoirs is set in the depression-era Brooklyn of 1937. This nostalgic comedy follows Eugene Jerome and his extended family (who all share the same house) through their daily battles with poverty, privacy and puberty as World War II threatens to erupt in Europe. Told through the eyes of fifteen-year-old Eugene, the play is told with the magical humor and poignancy of Neil Simon, holding a message for each and every one of us.

Preview performances are Tuesday, April 1 and Wednesday, April 2 at 8:00pm. Actor’s Benefit Night (with proceeds distributed to the actors) is Wednesday, April 30 at 8:00pm.
