West Side Story

West Side Story is a Romeo and Juliet set in the streets of New york City, where two young, idealistic lovers find their relationship caught in the middle of warring street gangs. Tony, the former leader of the Jets, meets and instantly falls in love with Maria, the sister of Sharks leader Bernardo. Knowing that they can never be together in the neighborhoods that they each call home, the two plan to run off together. But before they can leave, Tony is caught in the middle of a rumble, and accidentally kills Bernardo. While Maria’s friends all urge her to stay away, she vows to follow her heart and find Tony – but will she get to him before the Sharks do?
