About This Show

A rascally rabbit finds a briar patch full of trouble while on a misguided, madcapped adventure in The Musical Tale of Peter Rabbit, a humorous musical tale featuring giant nine-foot uppets.

Based on the beloved Beatrix Potter story of a naughty rabbit, Bits ‘N Pieces Puppet Theatre retells the tale using four, nine-foot-tall body puppets and a host of other colorful characters. Little Peter, played by live actor Holli Rubin, sets out for Farmer McGregor’s garden, despite the warnings of his mother. Unable to resist the taste of fresh vegetables, Peter also gets a taste of life’s perils as he comes dangerously close to harm at the hands of Farmer McGregor. Scampering to safety, Peter sheepishly accepts his punishment as he learns the lesson, "It’s better to be good than bad."

Filled with singing and dancing, this production is one of 11 original shows created by Bits ‘N Pieces Puppet Theatre, based in Tampa, Florida. The company is known for its unique giant puppets, which have been featured in productions for 24 years and have made 14 international appearances.
