About the Show

Moonshine is an Appalachian story of leaving and of home. Caught in a current between world and home, the people of Appalachia have found themselves leaving for World War II, for factory jobs in the Midwest, or for education in other parts of North Carolina.The play tells the story of leaving home to find the world and struggling between the new life that comes with being gone and the bloodstream pull that draws a spirit back to its mountain home.

Performances are November 5 and 12-16 at 8:00pm, with a matinee on Sunday, November 17 at 2:00pm.
