Little Women

North Carolina Kids’ Theatre (NCKT) is coming of age with its production of Little Women. Set in civil-war era New England, Louisa May Alcott’s semi-autobiographical tale showcases an array of female characters as the four March sisters and their matriarch Marmee. Each woman embodies very different qualities and each is portrayed as a heroine in her own right. The central character, Jo, breaks with many gender-typical stereotypes to pursue her dream of a literary career. Lynda Clark directs.
