Burning Coal Theatre Company presents the Southeastern premiere of Lipstick Traces, adapted from the cult-classic book by Greil Marcus, created by Rude Mechs and directed by Matthew Earnest.
Burning Coal’s production marks the first production of the play not presented by its originators. Lipstick Traces attempts the audacious task of connecting a 16th Century German heretic to the lead singer of Britain’s 70s punk rock royalty, The Sex Pistols. It offers, in thought, language, song and imagery, a consideration of the alternative history of mankind. It is also a comedy.
