Children of a Lesser God

Mark Medoff’s deeply moving play, Children of a Lesser God follows the relationship between a young deaf woman and the idealistic, hearing teacher she meets. Once married, the two confront long-held misperceptions and beliefs – a chasm between their worlds of sound and silence almost too great to cross. Is their love and hope for reconciliation strong enough for the two to reach a deeper understanding and appreciation for their differences?
