The Two Swans:Vladimir/Volodymyr is at heart a historical drama in 2 acts and 16 scenes. Wryly satirical, it traces the Russian-Ukrainian War through the backgrounds of the two principles involved, Putin and Zelensky. Using a couple of their own short speeches as a base it becomes a masterpiece of inspired writing based on thorough research . Many previously little-known facts will be revealed to the audience as the brilliant character development of the 12 roles tightens its grip on them . Humor is employed judiciously to lighten the subject matter in this one of a kind spellbinding theater piece. Quite simply, there has never been a play about military conflict the likes of Two Swans. Its world premiere in Kyiv, Ukraine is only waiting for the end of the war to arrive. The playwright Gary Hoffman is donating all proceeds from the play and its performances to the cause of easing Ukrainian suffering.
