About the Show

A modern feminist retelling of Cain and Abel, Sea Glass is a play about two girls on the brink of adulthood who struggle with their relationships with God, money, and the boys who live next door. Presented by Bitter Maiden Productions, Sea Glass runs August 16-30 as a recipient of the WP Space Program.

Over the course of a fall semester in 1979, Imogen and Anne Kilcullen are left alone in their Long Island home when their mother abandons them for her Semester at Sea. Their father is off in California set to return God-knows-when. By themselves, they grapple with Catholic school nuns, their mom’s limited cash fund, and the boys who live next door.

Olivia Dennehy-Basile’s Sea Glass is directed by Jennifer McCabe.
