The Hofstra University Cultural Center is proud to present a Robert Anderson Retrospective on October 26 and 27. Anderson is best known for Tea and Sympathy, I Never Sang for My Father, and The Nun’s Story. The event not only features the active participation of the playwright, but also a number of other famous playwrights and actors, including Edward Albee, A.R. Gurney, and Donald Margulies.
A special highlight is an act from You Know I Can’t Hear You When the Water’s Running performed by original cast members Eileen Heckart and George Grizzard. There is also a full production of the play by Hofstra USA Productions, and a staged reading of Free and Clear.
Tickets for the event range from $30 to $60, with a spearately priced cocktail reception and banquet on Friday at 6:30pm for $35. This reception includes remarks by Donald Spoto and Robert Anderson himself.
