A Jew and a Christian meet in a cemetery… Despite a set-up which might sound like a well-known joke, Halpern And Johnson offers more than situational comedy and familiar laughter.
Odds are that these two men would never have met, much less spoken with each other… but in a Jewish cemetery, Joseph Halpern lingers at the graveside of Flo, his wife of fifty years and recently deceased. A stranger introduces himself as Dennis Johnson who, since he is not Jewish, has been reluctant to interrupt the recently deceased ceremony. The two old men reminisce and swap stories. They savor sweet memories and battle about life’s discrepancies.
