welter / how many times

In welter, simultaneous solos emerge out of prolonged work with color. Infected by color virus and noise making, they evoke an invocation, resulting in a non-symbolic account of desire and its power. In how many times, a new quartet, dancer-choreographer Paul Matteson draws from Early Buddhist chants and children’s books of courage to create an intertwining world of dance and story.
