Vespers of 1640

Under the direction of Jolle Greenleaf (artistic director) and Scott Metcalfe (music director), we have recreated a 17th-century Venetien Vespers service we’re calling Vespers of 1640 drawing music drawn from Claudio Monteverdi’s monumental collection Selva Morale e Spirituale and works by Giovanni Gabrieli as we honor the 400th anniversary of his death.
