Under Milk Wood

About the Show

The classic play from Thomas, the famous Welsh poet, was originally written for radio and depicts a day in the life of a small town. Composed in the final years of the author’s life, Under Milk Wood is full of the supple turns of phrase and bawdy humor that are the hallmarks of his most beloved works. Thomas populates his fictional town of Llareggub (“bugger all” spelled backwards) with unforgettable characters like Mrs. Ogmore-Pritchard, so fastidious that her dead husbands can still name their daily tasks “in order,” and Mr. Pugh, a downtrodden husband with a sinister plan to liberate himself from his imperious wife.
