Theatre Resources Unlimited (TRU) presents the Fourth Annual TRU Love Benefit Concert. This year’s benefit honors Woodie King Jr. and Philip Rose, receipients of the 2002 TRU Spirit of Theatre Award.

Hosted by three-time Tony Award winner Hinton Battle. Performers scheduled to appear: Trazana Beverley, Joel Higgins, Norm Lewis, Melba Moore, Nancy Opel, Stephanie Pope, Ken Prymus, Alice Ripley and more!

The event will feature readings from For Colored Girls… and other legendary works. Also featuring excerpts from the 2002 TRU Voices New Musical Reading Series: The Story of My Father, Sugar Dumpling, and the Daniel Marshall Award winner Valadon,.

Wine Reception and Silent Auction begin at 6:30pm. Silent Auction will include dinner/show packages for Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, including the new smash Hairspray, Waterford crystal, theapeutic massages, autographed theater posters, and the featured lot is a private sitting with famed artist Al Hirschfeld, provided in part by The Margo Feiden Galleries, Ltd.
