New York City
“Life is a cabaret…unless you’re short,” according to actress Taryn (Kollar) Pry and her mother, composer/lyricist, Lorraine Kollar. Kollar wrote the cabaret musical Short Stuff to address that issue, one she and her daughter know only too well.
Multiple MAC award winning director, Lennie Watts will direct the show and Pittsburgh composer/actor/musician Jason Coll will musical direct. Kollar’s story has a revengeful Pry ready to shoot Randy Newman, who composed the highly criticized (by short people) “Short People,” only to be intercepted by Ed Sullivan, her fairy Godfather. Kollar penned 11 songs for the cabaret, including “Please Mr. Disney,” “The Perfect Shoe,” and “Death by Chocolate.”
