About the Show

Australian vocalists/musicians/lyricists Scott Matthew and Max Sharam share a bill at The Zipper before going out on tour. Mr. Matthew recently wrote and performed several songs in John Cameron Mitchell’s film Shortbus, and was honored to have his song "Amputee" used in the new documentary An American Opera by film maker Tom McPhee. In addition, Scott has performed songs for the Japanese anime series “Ghost in the Shell” and the anime feature film Cowboy Be-Bop. Ms. Sharam’s platinum debut album A Million Year Girl reached number 10 in the Australian Aria Charts. It was nominated for eight Aria Awards and had three Top 40 singles, including "Coma" (which hit the Australian Top 20 and was voted the eighth most popular song of the year by Australia’s JJJ Network) and a cover of Melanie’s “Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)."
