School of American Ballet – The Beauty of Ballet

The Beauty of Ballet will illustrate how students develop into accomplished classical ballet dancers and reveal the secrets behind dancing on your toes, turning like a top without getting dizzy, and jumping high in the air.

School of American Ballet faculty member Katrina Killian (a former New York City Ballet soloist) and advanced students from SAB will showcase examples of advanced classroom training exercises and perform excerpts from notable ballets including The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and Swan Lake.
