After a four year hiatus, Rebecca Rice, the versatile and prolific choreographer from Boston, brings her dance company, Rebecca Rice Dance, to New York City.
The program will include six works, three of which are premieres. The premieres include “Unmasked” (2011) a work danced to JS Bach concertos and sonatas, which expresses the bond between feelings of joy and sorrow as related in the poetry of Kahil Gibran, and “Verge” (2011), a solo focusing on the conflicts involved in transformation and performed by Mariah Steele to an original score by noted Boston composer, Christos Koulendros. Boston pianist, Constantine Finehouse, will accompany both “Verge” and “Tribute”.
