About This Show

Political Subversities is a wild and edgy theatre piece consisting of songs, scenes and monologues which portray the absurdity of our world as it is now as well as the scandalous and outrageously stupid behavior of the people who inhabit it. It is meant to be hilarious, it hits everybody, no one is safe.

The piece has had successful runs in the IMPACT Political Theater Festival last fall and the Women CenterStage Festival this past summer, both at the Culture Project. After a sold out one night engagement at Joe’s Pub in May, the piece returns to the equally wild and edgy cabaret space with updated favorites and brand new material.

The cast consists of extraordinary brand new talents both as actors and writers. Their youth and candidness brings a unique edge and perspective that creates a zany mix with Elizabeth Swados’ years of trouble-making and experience. If you don’t come, you’re letting the terrorists win. Again.
