Performance Mix Festival 2007

New Dance Alliance has presented a truly impressive group of over 600 artists in the Performance Mix series. Performance Mix has become a festival showing the work of artists from New York City, across the United States, Canada and abroad.

In this year’s curatorial process (headed by NDA founder and director Karen Bernard, with artistic input from Artist Advisory Panel members Michael Helland, Rachel Lund, Megan Metcalf, and Richard Rivera) NDA was challenged to incorporate an international roster of experimental artists. Smart, funny, and poignant work by artists from New York, London, Minneapolis, Montreal, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, St. John’s Newfoundland and Toronto, all with different approaches to experimental dance and performance. Live music will be featured and pre-performance dance videos created by artists throughout the U.S. and Canada.
