About This Show

The Nobel Prize-winning writer Orhan Pamuk (Snow, My Name is Red) comes to BAM for the official New York launch of his newly translated second novel, Silent House (to be released on October 9). Published in his native Turkey in 1983, this moving story–about a family gathering that occurs the summer before the Turkish military coup of 1980–has never been published in English. Lila Azam Zanganeh, author of The Enchanter: An Adventure in the Land of Nabokov, will moderate this conversation.
