About This Show

The Medicine Show presents the world premiere of Bernard Shaw’s final play Why She Would Not. Written in 1950, the unfinished work is composed of five scenes, and one more was intended. Medicine Show asked ten contemporary playwrights to write the final scene in their own styles. Playwrights include Liz Duffy Adams, Kenneth Bernard, Katherine Burger, Lonnie Carter, Denise Duhamel, Jeff Goode, Lucas Hnath, Julie Mandel, Patrick Mullowney, and Howard Pflanzer. Barbara Vann directs.
