When We Dead Awaken

The Century Center concludes its five-year Ibsen Series with a rare revival of When We Dead Awaken. Ibsen’s final play tells the story of an artist, Rubek, who is reunited with his muse, Irene, only to find that he had destroyed her long ago. He finds redemption by rejecting his current life, and their souls are intertwined in death.
