About the Show

Wayward Sons is three of Shakespeare’s tragedies in repertory, Macbeth, Richard of York, and Hamlet. Each of these classics deals with fathers and sons, and all three productions are unique in their interpretations. For Hamlet, director Stephen A. Brown has gone back to the First Folio edition of the play, and stages the show with the idea that it may very well be taking place in the mind of Hamlet himself. Seth Duerr’s Richard of York takes material from Shakespeare’s Richard III and Henry VI Part 3 to create a new piece that focuses on the family relations and what each member will do to gain power. Andrew Cucci’s Macbeth is a sensual production that features nudity and six sexually charged witches who are tempting Macbeth and Lady Macbeth into their evil acts.
