About This Show

Voyage de Ouf is an inventive theatrical production featuring a mosaic of contemporary music and allegorical skits, each with its own setting, color, humor, and emotion. The voyage is vast — physical, spiritual, and symbolic, featuring a poetic and surreal text by Sylvaine Hinglais (performed in French with English titles) and original music by Whitney George and Ann Warren.
The word “ouf” is French verlan (a cool slang spoken by Francophones) for the word “fou” (crazy) that is pronounced backwards! The music is live, original, and contemporary, evoking the magic of soaring dreams. Voyage de Ouf is performed by actors (and native French speakers) Fedly Daniel and Tamara Sevunts, directed by Irina Abraham and Nathalie Bryant. Original music is performed by Lindsey Eckenroth (flute, piano), Evan Runyon (double bass, guitar), and Joe Tucker (percussion). Design team includes: Robert Morton (projections), Bentley Heydt (lighting), and Tim Abraham (set).
