About This Show

The explosive underground musical comedy, written by John Cecil and produced by Prahaha.

Headhunters, developers, mobster girlfriends and helicopter pilots face the
fury of a live volcano in this explosive comedy. Featuring a magma-hot rock
band, a cast of sketch and improv comedy veterans and never-before-seen
earth-shaking special effects by the Jerry Bruckheimer of the
Off-Off-Broadway stage.

First performed last spring in Prague, Czech Republic by the Prahaha Theater
Company under the title Tourist, this show sold out its engagement at
Divadlo Reznicka. The New York performance will feature three members of
the original cast, which received lavish praise from the Prague Post.

Satirizing environmental exploitation, eco-tourism, and natural disaster
movies with equal bite, “Volcano” erupts all over the sincerity of
contemporary theater. Great soundtrack and lava, too.
