About This Show

The Fourth Unity presents Tennessee Williams’ seldom-produced masterpiece Vieux Carrè. Set in New Orleans’ sultry French Quarter, the story intertwines the disparate lives of several boarding house tenants: two batty old biddies in the attic, a ballsy Yankee next door, her ravenous gigolo boyfriend, a senile landlady and an ailing gentleman caller. The characters are all excised from the memory of a quiet young writer. In a world where loneliness is merely an affliction and the love which dares not speak its name screams with vitality, the young writer must lose his family of circumstance to find the way home and get his piece of the sky.
