About This Show

Over 400 women fought disguised as men in the Civil War. Afterwards, many returned there lives…but not all. Whitney Hamilton’s Union is the story of one of those women, “Henry Keiler,” who continues to live as a man after the war, and the blind widow who hires him as a farm hand. The shattering losses of the war have left them both battered and bruised, and their distant, business relationship is all that either of them could desire…or is it? Haunted by his sister who died fighting beside him, “Henry” is forced to come to terms with his past. How can he continue to live with his secret? Can he live without it? And what secret is he actually keeping from himself? Emily Tetzlaff directs.
