About This Show

The Foolish Mortals Theatre Company proudly presents Two Gentlemen of Verona: A Swashbuckling Comedy!, written by William Shakespeare. Michael Hagins, a veteran of modernized Shakespeare, has adapted and directed one of Shakespeare’s first works with a new notable twist: swordfights!  The characters Valentine and Proteus, played by Gregory M. Sutton and Ryan Hyde, are still the same lovable youngsters from Verona chasing after the Duke of Milan’s daughter Silvia (Shari Paige Acker).  In addition to the feisty servants, arrogant suitors, and overprotective dads, swords will be blazing all the way to the surprise ending.  The show in its original text has no swordfights and lots of plots holes, so come see the devices that the Foolish Mortals have used to entertain its audiences!
