About This Show

Shakespeare’s perennial comedy performed by the New York Neo-Classical Ensemble. The Ensemble is dedicated to matching textual dexterity with aesthetic ingenuity to create work that is both physically and spiritually adventurous. Twelfth Night looks to be another step closer to the Ensemble’s vision of this connection: It combines intensely physical acting, vaudevillian comedy, a live rock band playing original music, and a textually articulate, modern elucidation of Shakespeare’s words. Clowns, drunks, rock music, cross-dressing.
