About This Show

The Wheel of Life, written and performed by Shoki Inoue, is about how a man deals with his journey through life. It is also about the beauty of how he mentally and spiritually transforms himself to go onto the next level.

The man, who is just an average Joe, faces an emotional turning point while he struggles to reach an answer. He gets lost in the deep sea of other people’s opinions and perspectives towards life. As he swims through a vortex of information, he makes a brave decision.

“The Wheel of Life” symbolizes an endless cycle of discoveries, adventures, anticipations and self-transformations.

The decisions he makes take a tremendous amount of energy and optimism. However, this is about neither a super hero nor a legendary human success story. It is about an average Joe who discovers "words" that naturally meets his inner voice.

The Wheel of Life is about a man and his surroundings expressed in an abstract form based on a Japanese traditional method; "Ma" and "Seijyaku" It also deals with complications of life and its inevitable struggles and will be expressed in its most simplified forms and environments on stage.
