The Sword Politik

The Hudson Shakespeare Company presents this workshop and showcase of a new play The Sword Politik, which takes the balance of love, power and politics to the edge in this tale of medieval intrigue. When her father, Baron von Schliess, mysteriously dies, Nina von Schliess, is left the only heir. But in the Dark Ages of Germany, women cannot bear arms and so she must take a man to defend her Barony. And quickly, as the northern territories are already aflame with war and, plotting. In this vicious crucible, Nina and those who would be Baron must lay their souls bare, to not only survive, but to lead their people out of the struggle that threatens everything.
