About the Show
The Shady Maids of Haiti concerns an exiled French poet and his wife, to whom he’s passed on his own dormant syphilis. Beginning to show signs of the disease and spurned by her husband, the wife embarks on a rampage of seduction, inviting a wounded and escaped African slave into her bed.
