The Savior of Fenway

A shotgun blast rips through a crisp New England autumn night. The boom seems to have originated somewhere in the vicinity of Walshie’s Bar. Shane McGill has locked himself in the bathroom, retreating from a failing marriage and another sour season ending for the Sox. The temperature rises as the regular’s of Walshie’s try to keep Shane’s whiskey drenched ego under wraps.

Full Circle Theatre Company presents The Savior of Fenway, a new play by Brendon Bates. Four lifelong baseball fans come together at their favorite South Boston drinking hole to watch the Sox play the Yankees in the American League Championship game. Michael Laibson directs the production, which is part of the 2003 New York International Fringe Festival.
