Synapse Productions presents a new, multi-media production of Euripides’ ancient Greek tragedy The Phoenician Women. Set in the ancient Mediterranean kingdom that is now Syria and Palestine, the play focuses on a nation torn apart by a senseless war. Two brothers, sons of the king Oedipus, ignore their country’s cries for peace and lead their city into a bloody conflict as they fight each other for the crown of Thebes.
There is no performance on Thursday, November 28. There is an added performance on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 3pm.
