The Music Man

The Music Man is this summer’s Broadway hit right here on Staten Island. Ray Roderick directs.

Patti Mariano — who was in the original production of The Music Man on Broadway with Robert Preston at the young of age 11 — will be gracing HLTC with her presence as Mrs. Paroo.

The cast also features including Tony-nominated Staten Island resident Larry Marshall (veteran of 14 Broadway shows), Rebecca Baxter and Jay Montgomery, with choreography by Broadway vet and former Bob Fosse Assistant — and life long Staten Island resident — Mimi Quillin.

An affectionate paean to Smalltown, USA of a bygone era, Meredith Wilson’s The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boy’s band he vows to organize. He is transformed into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.
