About This Show

It’s family fun! Three decades of marriage, divorce, alcoholism, nervous breakdowns and death – all blended in a unique mix of irony, humor and farcical brilliance by Christopher Durang, one of America’s most gifted modern playwrights. The Marriage of Bette and Boo is presented in TACT’s own “Concert Performance” style. These fully rehearsed, minimally staged presentations feature original live music commissioned exclusively for the company’s productions.

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre is a professional theatre company dedicated to presenting neglected or rarely produced plays of literary merit with a focus on creating theatre from its essence: the text and the actor’s ability to bring it to life.

Here’s what the critics have to say about TACT…

“Think of it as a kind of intellectual ‘ENCORES!'” – Back Stage

“Brilliantly staged and acted” – New York Post

“A TACT presentation is richer than a full production in most Broadway houses” – West Side Spirit

All productions at Florence Gould Hall are presented in our own “Concert Performance” style. These fully rehearsed, minimally staged presentations feature original live music commissioned exclusively for our productions. For more information call TACT 212/645-8228.
