About This Show

The Hamlet Project: Summer in the City is a Shakespeare drinking theatrical event. (Yes, you read that right.) Iambic pentameter becomes even more awesome after a couple of drinks in a collision of tragedy and comedy, classic text and pop culture, high-minded ideals and low-brow antics that occurs when you perform Shakespeare’s play in a bar with booze. Full scale audience participation includes drinking cues, voting on the fate of the characters and one audience member even gets to play Polonius. What does a super sad Danish prince have to do with the dog days of summer in Manhattan? You’ll have to show up to find out.
