About This Show

The return of Richard Willett’s award-winning play about a charismatic nightclub singer born with short arms as a result of the notorious drug thalidomide. This time The Flid Show stars the extraordinary English actor Mat Fraser as Duncan Mowbray, the embittered lounge singer who consigns himself to performing in back alley dives, thus avoiding the literal and figurative spotlight because of his physical affliction. The haunting and humorous action of the play travels back and forth in time as Duncan lives and relives his family’s history with thalidomide, and also discovers the stories of perfect strangers.
