About the Show
Alba Sanchez, the award-winning Nuyorican, actress, and comedian from the Bronx, brings her latest one-woman multi-character show to the Point CDC. Directed by Gary Dini, The Bronx Witch Project is an autobiographical journey from Bronx bodegas to Bloomies to boarding schools. Alba’s characters are blended through a 1958 meat grinder, blessed by Babaluaye the popcorn god, stalked by the Chupa Cabra, cleansed with sacrificial chickens, and sprinkles with Florida water.
