The Babu Show

Durga is transformed into the displaced Indian-American girl and her stuffed lion. The two of them embark on a journey of monstrous proportions. The Babu Show is written and performed by Mita Ghosal with Mary Welch, Dipan Ray, and other guests from mysterious places. It is a dialogue in hybridization using dance, theater, and visual art to cut across boundaries of tradition and self-reinvention. Part of the New York International Fringe Festival.
