Writer/actor Keir Cutler presents his two critically acclaimed one-man shows in an evening of performance. In Teaching Shakespeare: A Parody, which won a 2000 FringeNYC Overall Excellence Award in the solo performance category, a frustrated professor devoted to Shakespeare struggles to keep his job in the midst of terrible student evaluations. In Teaching Detroit, the incompetent professor loses his post lecturing on Shakespeare and is reduced to teaching a survey course at a community college in world fiction to high school dropouts. “Detroit” is the title of his failed, unpublished novel which he is making required study.
