About This Show

Jessica Holter, founder of The Punany Poets, presents the 90 minute theatrical cabaret Speak the Unspeakable — a timely study in female empowerment and contemporary sexuality. The show cuts to the core of HIV/AIDS awareness through five characters: a prostitute, a housewife, a cook, molestation/rape survivor, and a street corner soap box preacher.

From the press release: “The performance recalls the dangerous bedroom waters we have waded in, and the painfully honest truth about our darkest sides. You may laugh until you cramp, cry until you are relieved, be titillated beyond belief, but you will get real about sex.”
