About the Show

Somewhat Damaged mixes together Edgar Allan Poe’s life and work
re-imagining the creative inspiration for his stories. Struggling with his
wife’s illness and unable to write a new story, a chance encounter inspires E.A.
Poe to take his work in a darker direction then he could have imagined.
Interweaving some of E.A. Poe’s most acclaimed work, Somewhat Damaged, places the author in the lead role of his own stories combatting the reality of his wife’s
deteriorating health and the overwhelming darkness of his imagination. Combining
stylized and inventive staging with a stunning visual design, Somewhat
Damaged brings to life E.A. Poe’s macabre world with imaginative twists and turns
that reveal E.A. Poe’s struggle for sanity. Written and directed by Alexander Poe.
