Sistas: The Musical

The story of African-American women told through popular music, from “God Bless the Child” to Destiny’s Child. Using popular music to trace the development of black women from the oppression of the 1930’s through the Girl Groups of the 60’s to empowerment in the 90’s, this soulful and fun shows takes the audience on a musical journey from pain to power.
